St. Barbara

Attributed to the Master of the Holy Blood in Bruges. St. Barbara is shown with a plume, a book and a ring bearing a striking resemblance to the Sforza ring. The plume is symbolic of nobility or high birth, the book of knowledge, and the ring, with a diamond, of her mystic marriage with Christ.
